Garry & Zelda Phillips, born and bred in Bendigo were both from strong small business backgrounds. Together they successfully started a hire service in their backyard in 1975 at 251 High Street, Kangaroo Flat (now ARB) and after 20 years of growth and success sold their hire service so they could concentrate solely on nurturing Poppet Head Estate to the grand presence the Estate now possesses.

In the year 2000 Garry & Zelda enjoying small business so much decided to go into partnership with son Grant to purchase Bendigo's Pedder's Suspension store (also located at Poppet Head Estate) and have again had great success bringing Pedders Bendigo to number 1 store 3 times and counting.
